Traveling to Texas

Here is a portrait of Harrison Ford from the cover of Adventure Magazine. I started drawing it upside down then flipped it over to finish it. This is an exercise I started doing while reading Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. It really is interesting how different it feels drawing upside down. Well, I mean I was right side up but my drawing was upside down...

The topic of painters who paint upside down came up at work yesterday by a patient who was telling me a story, I guess I grinned a little too big and my patient pointed out to me that the painter isn't actually upside down, jokingly I told him that was the exact image I had in my head, and he told me he could tell. lol Anyways, it's definetly cool, and my brain is not in the right so I could never do it, but it totally intriques me!! Great sketch!!
