Gina

This is Gina. I have known her since I was 5 years old. She was like a sister, then a first crush, and ultimately a great friend.

Jonathan

This is Jonathan. In this portrait he looks like a maverick visionary or movie star. Speaking of movies, I get to hang out with Jonathan this weekend at the Camden International Film Festival. Can't wait.

David

This is David. Our parents were good friends when we were growing up in Houston.

Usually I am challenged to find a good photo to work from where my friends aren't smiling ear to ear. With David, there are no smiling teeth photos to be found. However, almost all of his photos carry a very subtle suggestion of a smile. That's what I was reaching for here.

Mary

This is Mary. She's a biking and running friend from the old days. Seems like every time I see a post from her these days she's asking if anyone wants to join her for a 20 mile run. Like its no big deal. Well, I'm just jealous. Cheers Mary.
