Self Portrait #1

I did this drawing of myself about a month ago as part of working through" Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain"' by Betty Edwards. I kind of expected I wasn't going to like it but I was surprised to find that I actually thought it was OK.

Hi Ken, I found you through your comments on Christina's Sketchblog. :) And I am delighted to learn that you are doing "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" as well. Though, admittedly, I am right at the beginning and still have to complete my "before" self-portrait. Are you far into the book?

Great self-portrait. I can see the architectural experience shine through in the way you analyzed the planes of the face. :)

I love, love, love your Entry sketch. Really an artwork!

Thanks Pippa for your comment. I am also at the beginning - stuck on drawing my hand with the picture plane AND I keep getting distracted.

I noticed that too about the planes of my face - it does seem "architectural".
